
Observability Engineer (Dynatrace)
Job Description
The Dynatrace Developer will champion the observability of our enterprise applications. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and customizing Dynatrace to provide end-to-end visibility into application performance, user experience, and infrastructure health.
Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage Dynatrace OneAgent across complex, multi-cloud infrastructure environments (AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, VMs).
Configure application performance monitoring (APM), synthetic monitoring, and real user monitoring (RUM).
Build custom dashboards, establish baselines, and configure intelligent alerting profiles to reduce alert fatigue.
Integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) for automated incident remediation.
Partner with development teams to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and memory leaks using Dynatrace insights.
Requirements
Requirements:
3+ years of experience designing and managing Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solutions, specifically Dynatrace.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience using the Dynatrace API for automation and custom integrations.
Background in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
Language: Professional working proficiency in English and Italian.
