Java Backend Developer — MES / Manufacturing

About the role

Join an Agile engineering team building and maintaining enterprise Java applications for MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and production process digitalisation. You'll work on software integrated directly with factory systems, contributing to meaningful Industry 4.0 solutions in a structured, quality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Backend development and maintenance in Java

• RESTful API design and development

• Spring Boot + JPA service implementation

• SQL Server database management and optimisation

• Collaboration with frontend, QA and DevOps teams

• Technical analysis and troubleshooting

• Git version control and CI/CD support

• Agile/Scrum participation

• Interaction with factory and production systems

Requirements

• Java 8+ (professional experience)

• Spring Boot and JPA / Hibernate

• REST API design and implementation

• SQL Server and relational database management

• Git version control

• Swagger / OpenAPI and XML (good knowledge)

• Docker and Redis (basic)

• CI/CD pipelines — Jenkins preferred

• Good written and spoken English

• Agile methodology

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or Industry 4.0 experience

• MES software or factory system integration

• Microservices and distributed architectures

• Kubernetes or containerised environments
