
Data Scientist – Telecom & Customer Analytics
Job Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist – Telecom & Customer Analytics to drive data-driven decision-making across customer lifecycle and revenue optimization initiatives. The role focuses on developing advanced machine learning models to support churn reduction, pricing optimization, and customer segmentation in a telecom or subscription-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and deploy machine learning models for:
• Customer churn prediction
• Pricing elasticity and demand analysis
• Customer segmentation and behavior modeling
• Forecasting (usage, revenue, customer growth)
• Translate telecom business challenges into scalable data science solutions
• Support upsell, cross-sell, retention, and revenue optimization use cases
• Partner closely with GenAI and MLOps teams to operationalize models
• Communicate analytical insights and model outputs clearly to business stakeholders
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and predictive modeling
• Proven experience in telecom or subscription-based industries
• Excellent proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with common ML libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Ability to translate complex analysis into actionable business insights
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
• Experience with large-scale customer data and real-time analytics
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and MLOps practices
• Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams
