Functional Analyst
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst with solid experience in the payment systems ecosystem, specifically focused on POS terminal management and Acquiring dynamics.
This role acts as the bridge between business needs and technical development teams, ensuring process efficiency within this highly specialized technological domain.
• Requirements Analysis: Gather and analyze business requirements for the evolution of Terminal Management Systems (TMS).
• Functional Design: Define detailed functional specifications for integrating payment protocols and managing financial data flows.
• Process Optimization: Monitor and refine Authorizing and Settlement workflows.
• Solution Architecture: Provide specialist support in designing solutions for physical and digital payment acceptance.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate directly with technical teams and business stakeholders to validate proposed solutions.
Requirements
• Italian language - mandatory
• Specific Experience: At least 3 years of experience in this role, mandatorily gained within Payment Service Providers (PSP) or contexts such as Nexi, SIA, Mercury Payments (or similar).
• Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Acquiring value chain and POS terminal communication protocols.
• Process Knowledge: Familiarity with clearing and settlement flows, as well as international circuit regulations (Visa, Mastercard, PagoBancomat).
• Soft Skills: Ability to navigate structured and vertical environments, strong analytical mindset, and precision in technical documentation.
Nice to Have
• Knowledge of Cloud architectures applied to payments.
• Experience in payment gateway migration projects.
