    Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Manager who can bridge the gap between people and process.

As we scale, we need someone to ensure the "engine" of the company runs smoothly without losing the human touch that makes division5 unique. You will optimize our delivery workflows, manage resource utilization, and ensure our projects are profitable—all while protecting the culture we’ve built.

You aren't just managing spreadsheets; you are designing the infrastructure that allows our developers and designers to do their best work.

    Requirements

    • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of developers and designers across projects. You will be the master of "who is doing what," ensuring high utilization rates while preventing burnout.

    • Delivery Excellence: Work with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the high quality we are known for. Identify bottlenecks in our agile processes and remove them.

    • Operational Efficiency: Monitor agency health metrics (profitability, margins, billable hours). You will translate financial data into actionable operational decisions.

    • Process Improvement: Audit our current tools and workflows (Jira, time-tracking, communication channels). If a process is "bullshit" or bureaucratic, your job is to kill it and replace it with something leaner.

    • Client & Vendor Operations: Assist in contract renewals, client onboarding processes, and managing external vendor relationships when necessary.

    • Culture Keeper: Ensure operational decisions align with our core values. You will work closely with HR/People Ops to ensure our "people-first" promise is kept in day-to-day operations.

    Who You Are

    • An Agency Veteran: You have 3+ years of experience in an Operations, Project Management, or Delivery Lead role within a software development agency or IT consultancy. You understand the "billable hour" model.

    • A Data-Driven Humanist: You love spreadsheets and metrics, but you know that numbers represent real people. You can balance profitability with employee well-being.

    • Tech-Savvy: You are fluent in the language of software development (Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, Tech Stacks). You don't need to code, but you need to understand what our developers are talking about.

    • Clear Communicator: You value transparency. You speak excellent English (our primary business language) and can deliver tough news with empathy and clarity.

    • Problem Solver: When a project goes off the rails, you don't panic—you step in to stabilize the situation and prevent it from happening again.

This is an on-site first position. Remote could be available down the road.
