    Job Description

    We are looking for a Devops Engineer to join our client’s team and work on an existing infrastructure supporting Kubernetes-oriented applications.

    You will collaborate with experienced teams in a dynamic and highly technical environment, contributing to the management and evolution of containerized platforms.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Manage and support Kubernetes-based applications within an existing infrastructure.


    • Understand and manage different Kubernetes workload types and the pod lifecycle.


    • Configure and manage traffic routing, data persistence, and authentication mechanisms for users and applications using service accounts.


    • Handle Kubernetes cluster operations, including installation, upgrades, and maintenance.


    • Work with version control and CI/CD environments using Git or Azure DevOps.


    • Apply GitOps methodologies to manage infrastructure and application deployments.


    • Monitor system performance using observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.


    • Perform troubleshooting and operational support in a complex distributed environment.


    • Use ticketing systems (ServiceNow) to track and manage operational activities.


    Note: The creation of Kubernetes clusters using different types of provisioners is generally handled by dedicated teams and is not a core requirement for this role.

    Requirements

    • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations


    • Experience with Git or Azure DevOps and software versioning practices


    • Familiarity with GitOps principles


    • Good understanding of Linux operating systems


    • Experience with observability tools, particularly Prometheus and Grafana


    • Scripting skills for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python)


    • Experience using ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow


    • Good spoken English

    • Italian language is a bonus.

    Nice to Have


    • Experience with the Longhorn storage engine


    • Knowledge of Apache Kafka, particularly at the infrastructure level

    Soft Skills


    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


    • Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment


    • Proactive attitude and strong collaboration skills
