AI-native developers
Hire AI-native developers who use AI coding tools and still own the code.
Every developer in the Division5 network is AI-native: AI tools are part of how they work every day. For engineering engagements, Division5 trains its engineers in-house and pays for AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code. What we check, and what you can watch in each recorded technical interview, is the judgment around the tools: how someone breaks a problem down, reviews generated code and decides what ships.
Request engineer profilesWhat AI-native means here
AI-native is a network standard, not a separate tier. It describes working habits, not a productivity multiple.
- Daily use of AI coding assistants and agents in the editor and terminal
- Reviewing, testing and rewriting what a tool produces before it is merged
- Knowing when not to use a tool: secrets, client data, unclear requirements
- Working within the tools and data rules your company allows
How it is checked
The recorded intro interview asks candidates how they use AI tools day to day, and each answer is assessed from the recording. The recorded technical interview then shows how they reason without leaning on a tool. Both are part of vetting, and you can watch the technical interview before you meet anyone.
Tools and training paid by Division5
Engineering engagements include in-house AI training and subscriptions to AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code. If your company uses a different assistant or restricts AI tools, the engineers follow your policy.
Where you can hire AI-native developers
Freelance marketplaces give you the widest choice but leave vetting to you. Global talent networks vet candidates across many countries and time zones. Nearshore partners such as Division5 add developers from a nearby time zone to your team, with vetting, contracts and replacement terms handled for you. Whichever route you take, ask to see how a candidate works with AI tools, not only that they use them.
Frequently asked questions
- Where can I hire AI-native developers who use AI coding tools?
- Division5’s network in Albania, Kosovo and the Balkans is AI-native by standard: engineers use AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code in daily work, with in-house training and tool subscriptions paid for by Division5. Relevant profiles usually arrive within 24 hours of a complete brief, each with a recorded technical interview.
- What is an AI-native developer?
- A developer for whom AI coding tools are a normal part of the work, used for drafting, refactoring, tests and research, who still reviews and takes responsibility for what ships.
- Which AI coding tools do Division5 engineers use?
- For engineering engagements Division5 pays for AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code. Engineers can also work with the assistant your company has approved.
- Will AI-native developers make my team ten times faster?
- Division5 does not promise a speed multiple. AI tools help with parts of the work; the gain depends on the task, the codebase and how carefully output is reviewed.
- How do I check that a developer reviews AI-generated code?
- Watch the recorded technical interview for how they reason through a problem, then ask them to walk you through a recent change: what the tool suggested, what they kept and what they rewrote.
- Can AI-native developers work under strict data rules?
- Yes. Agree up front which tools and data the role may use; engineers work inside your environment and follow your policy, including no AI tools at all if required.
