Cloud Architect
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to design, implement, and oversee scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure, security, networking, and DevOps, with the ability to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
Develop cloud migration and modernization strategies for applications and infrastructure.
Architect solutions across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Establish cloud security, governance, compliance, and identity-management standards.
Design cloud networking, storage, compute, database, and disaster-recovery solutions.
Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.
Define infrastructure-as-code and automation strategies using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
Guide CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development practices.
Monitor cloud environments and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and implementation guidelines.
Evaluate new cloud technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud computing, infrastructure, systems engineering, or related areas.
Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of:
Cloud networking and security
IAM and access management
Compute, storage, and databases
High availability and disaster recovery
Containers and Kubernetes
Infrastructure as Code
CI/CD and DevOps practices
Experience designing enterprise-scale, highly available, and secure cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
