    QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

    About the role

    Join a long-term, dedicated engineering team supporting an enterprise SaaS product used in operations-heavy environments. You'll stand up and maintain end-to-end test automation across a multi-application platform, partnering directly with .NET backend and Angular frontend engineers to keep release quality high.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, write, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites with Playwright (or similar)

    • Define test strategy alongside developers — shift-left where it matters

    • Build and maintain CI integrations for the automation suite

    • Identify and document regressions, edge cases, and integration issues

    • Partner with backend and frontend engineers on the testability of new features

    • Triage production issues and reproduce defects

    • Contribute to release-readiness reviews

    • Help raise the overall quality bar across the engagement

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of QA / test automation experience

    • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or a comparable framework

    • Solid understanding of web application testing (frontend + API)

    • Strong debugging and defect-reproduction skills

    • Fluent English (working language)

    Nice to have

    • Experience testing .NET-backed SaaS platforms

    • API contract testing experience (Postman, REST-assured, etc.)

    • Performance / load testing exposure

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

    • German language skills
